The battle of the images. By Adolfo Muñoz and Ana Martí. Vancia 2018.

This piece is an interpretation of the engraving "The battle of images" (1743) by William Hogarth's, as an analogy about the contemporary world and the struggle of images to find a place in social networks.

The video shows the result of a generative artwork, created from an application that searches for terms on Twitter. The results found are returned in the form of boxes with images associated with the tweet, or failing that, the image of the user who publishes it.

This instalation was made for the exhibition of the 1er Congreso Internacional Mujeres: Artistas, Tecnólogas  , in the Josep Renau Gallery, of the Facultat de Belles Arts de Sant Carles (Universitat Politècnica de València), from the 26 to the 29 of june, 2018. For this exhibition the following terms were searched: Women, Art, Technology, Russia, Pack, Trump, Love, Photography and Catalonia. Finally, the triad of words was sought: Woman, Art, Technology. The consultation was held on June 22, 2018, and it showed the profusion of images associated with each individual word, and the total absence of tweets containing the words woman-art-technology (in Spanish).

Also, a version of the application for android was made, downloadable from this link. The password to download the .apk file is battle
